Exiles Series - these pieces were inspired by my work with refugees.  Focusing upon memory, the feeling of loss surfaces through material, process and narrative.  

In these pieces I have worked in acrylic and metal leaf through multiple layers of imagery that is applied and then redacted back repetitively offering fragments of past memories that evoke suppressed truths and broken narratives.  The pining for lost lives and familiarity echoes and lingers through suggestions of humanity that lie exposed on gilded grounds asking to be heard and remembered.
