Siren Series - these pieces were inspired by my exploration of invisibility - not as emptiness, but as a site of latent power.  I focus on individuals who are often overlooked or rendered invisible by societal structures and seek to represent their resilience through material, process and narrative.
In these pieces I have worked in acrylic, sand and metal leaf through multiple layers of imagery that is applied and then redacted back repetitively offering fragments of past memories that evoke suppressed truths and broken narratives.  I use puzzle pieces as visual metaphors for the complexity, vulnerability, integrated and yet fractured essence of human nature and its capacity for both resilience and rupture.  Each of these pieces has been framed with intentionality to suggest a feeling of a past era and the passage of time within the lives of each of these muses.

I hope that you find that these pieces are both impactful and resonate with you on a personal level.

10% of the proceeds of this series of paintings (excluding Witness) will be donated to the International Justice Ministry.  Please contact me directly for further information.
