Transformation

Writer: Sue's MusingsSue's Musings

They came in the night

Praetorian guard

Wave after wave

Attacked,

Parried and sparred.

Heroic their efforts

As North Wind it blew

Despite untold valiance

They could not break through.

With morning…

Cessation

A crystalline peace

Wind now has died down

The onslaught has ceased.

Pale sunlight wakes

Skies limpid blue

Inch by inch…

Revealing

Earth's silhouette new.

With nary a whisper

They will all slip away

As Sun becomes stronger

And heats up the day.

Those warriors so brave

Now stripped of their might

A last glimpse of glory

Will shine in the light

Like acres of diamonds

A visual feast

Transformed and transported

Their energy…

Released.
